STATE CONTROLL The keel of this beautiful ship was at the end of 1927 in Germany Krupp shipyard Werft. Over the years it has undergone maintenance work and tresformazione that helped keep it in excellent processing. l 'HAIDA G, was built at the request of millionaire Max C. Fleischmann (1877-1952) and plans were drawn up by the naval architects in New York Stevens Cox. The structure of the ship is sturdy and capable of handling any use. Despite the new technology they operate, the propulsion engines are the same with which it is born. The ship was completed in 1929. After more than ten years when it was used as a luxury motor yacht, the 'HAIDA. Fleischmann, in October 1940 sold it to the U.S. Navy. The vessel underwent conversion work for military purposes was painted with gray and renamed USS ARGUS called "PY14, coastal patrol of the 12th Naval District in San Francisco. For short period was given to the United States Geodetic Survey, then back to the marina. On October 29, 1944 l 'ARGUS sailors saved from sinking of the Liberty ship John A. JOHNSON, sunk in the Pacific from a submarine. ARGUS was decommissioned in 1946 and bought by an Egyptian cotton magnate Maurice Ada who has restored and returned to its former splendor as a recreational vessel, renamed SARINE has spent a number of years in Alexandria. Later due to political problems, its owner has moved to the south of France.It was then sold to an American industrial Larry Green, in 1969 was acqistata by a member of the British Parliament, which Loel Guinness invested much money to keep it always in perfect working order. Guinness in 1979 for health reasons was forced to sell the vessel at the beautiful film producer Robert Stigwood who redecorated the interior in the English country style. In 1981 he was again sold to a greek that renaming ROSENKAVALIER. In 1988 was bought by a Japanese owner and has remained in family Isak Yokohama until 1992, until it was bought by Andreas Liveras an expert sailor greek. In 1999, a new owner with a passion for the beauty of the original, it restored back starting with the original main engines were completely disassembled and overhauled. The interior has been stripped completely and accurately reinstallato.Lo boat was sanded to bare, and were replaced 120 tons of steel. Except for the main engines lovingly restored, have been replaced all the clusters and the ship has been updated for maximum security and technical specifications. HAIDA G now offers all the comforts of a modern luxury yachts for all its passengers.
