Il
18.luglio 2017 la guardia costiera turca ha individuato barili lanciati
in acqua dalla nave in corso in prossimità del porto di Tasucu,
nel distretto di Silifike di Mersin, in Turchia. Sono stati trovati
circa 100 chili di cannabis e altre droghe in botti, raccolti in elicottero.
La nave da cui furono gettate le droghe in acqua, fu identificata
come ro-ro MED STAR, in rotta da Tripoli in Libano a Tasucu. All'arrivo
10 membri dell'equipaggio furono arrestati con l'accusa di traffico
di droga. A partire dal 22 luglio, la nave era ormeggiata a Tasucu.

manager LUNA RO-RO TASIMACILIK IC.

Turkish
Coast Guard spotted barrels thrown into water from vessel under way
in vicinity of Tasucu Port, Silifike district of Mersin, Turkish Med,
on July 18. Some 100 kilos of cannabis and other drugs were found
in barrels, picked up by helicopter. The ship from which drugs were
thrown into water, was identified as ro-ro MED STAR, en route from
Tripoli Lebanon to Tasucu. On arrival 10 crew were arrested on a suspicion
of drug trafficking. As of July 22, vessel was berthed at Tasucu.
