INFORMAZIONI STORICHE

Nata come nave paseggeri mista, nel 1967 viene convertita in un traghetto per auto e passeggeri.
Nel 1979 fu venduta ad armatori greci e rinominata SAINT ANDREA, ed impiegata a noleggio tra i porti
Port Vendres - Porto di Alcusa.
Nel 1982 viene registrata a Perama, Grecia. il 06.1984 venduta a Achaid Lines, del Pireo, in Grecia. e rinominata MAKEDONIA.
Nel 1985. noleggiata a Panko Inc., Pireo, Grecia. e rinominata SUMMER STAR impiegata sulla linea Patrasso - Igoumenitsa - Corfù - Brindisi.
Il 07.1985 viene posta in disarmo a Patrasso. Dall' 08.1985 al 10.1985 impiegata tra Limassol e Beirut, po dal 24.12.1985 ritorna a Pireo.
Nel 12.1986 è rilevata da Agapitos Bros, Pireo, Grecia, e rinominata CORFU DIAMOND, impiegata tra Brindisi e Patrasso.
Nel 1988 è venduto a Megacycle Shipping Co., Limassol, Cipro e rinominato LARNACA ROSE impiegata per il traffico locale.
Nel 1991. registrata in Eleusi, Grecia.
Nel 1992 passa alla Megacycle Shipping SA, Panama. e rinominata AVRASAYA impiegata tra Ancona e Kusadasi.
Nel 1993. viene gestita da SA Specchio Holdings, Panama ed inpiegata nel traffico in Mar Nero.
Il 16.12.1996 mentre era a Trabzon,(Trebisonda) con a bordo 255 persone tra passeggeri ed equipaggio salì a bordo un commando di terroristi ceceni che la dirottò.
Il 10.01.1996 i terroristi si arresero liberando la nave. Di seguito la nave è rinominata CORTINA e poi nuovamente nel 1997 AVRASYA I.
il 25.11.1997 arrivò ad Aliaga (Turchia) per la demolizione.

Founded as a passenger ship mixed in 1967 is converted into a car ferry and passenger.
In 1979 it was sold to Greek owners and renamed SAINT ANDREA, and used to hire between ports
Port Vendres - Port of Alcusa.
In 1982 it is recorded in Perama, Greece. 06.1984 sold to the Achaid Lines, of Piraeus, Greece. and renamed MAKEDONIA.
Chartered in 1985. Panko Inc., Piraeus, Greece. and renamed SUMMER STAR used on the Patras - Igoumenitsa - Corfu - Brindisi.
The 07.1985 is laid up in Patras. Dall '08.1985 to 10.1985 employed between Limassol and Beirut, some from 24.12.1985 back to Piraeus.
In 12.1986 it is taken over by Agapitos Bros, Piraeus, Greece, and renamed CORFU DIAMOND, used between Brindisi and Patras.
In 1988 it sold Megacycle Shipping Co., Limassol, Cyprus and renamed LARNACA ROSE used for local traffic.
