Nel 1958
quando ancora si chiamava AUSTRALIA
subì una grande ristrutturazione e ricostruzione, si spostò
un ponte in avanti, fu creato un nuovo salone in classe turistica e
migliorati gli alloggi, la capienza passò a 136 passeggeri in
prima classe, 304 turistica A e 232 turistica B. La differenza tra tuistica
A e B è che passeggeri in turistica A sono stati alloggiati in
cabine da due a quattro cuccette, mentre quelli in turistica B sono
stati sistemati nei vari dormitori sul ponte C di poppa e a prua della
nave, proprio come terza .La nave al termine dei lavori era 13.140 tsl.
