20.12.1949: Launched by Mrs P R Privett. 12.04.1950: Ran trials and delivered as KYPROS for Moss Hutchison Line Ltd. 1954: Chartered to Booker Bros for a roundtrip voyage from Liverpool to Demerara. On reaching Georgetown her Captain neglected to fire Bookers rocket to announce her arrival, but the following morning was asked by local security forces if he had the statue of Queen Victoria in the Square in Georgetown had had its hand blown off in the night, presumably by terrorists. 28.07.1967: Chartered to Cunard Steam-Ship Co Ltd, Liverpool for two return voyages to the Canadian Great Lakes. She was renamed AURANIA. 12.12.1967: Renamed Kypros upon termination of the charter. 01.10.1971: P&O General Cargo Division appointed managers. 18.04.1976: Ownership transferred to The Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company. 25.08.1976: Sold to Keanav Shipping Company SA, Monrovia (Grecomar Shipping Agency Ltd, Piraeus, managers) and renamed Angeliki. 1981: Sold to Angel Shipping Co Ltd, Malta, and renamed ANGEL. 30.04.1982: Reported so
