Il 26 febbraio 2010 nel porto di Sharm el Sheik mentre era intenta nella manovra di ormeggio, a causa di un forte vento ha urtato con violenza con la murata dritta contro la banchina, nell'incidente sono morti tre membri dell'equipa. Questa nave è stata allungata nel 1990 da 204 a 243 m. Detenuta nel 2012 ad Alicante (Spagna) e nel 2015 a Tolone (Francia).
La Marella Dream di proprietà di Marella Cruises (Regno Unito), filiale del gruppo tedesco TUI, attende di essere demolita da giugno 2020. La sua ultima crociera in partenza da Malaga (Spagna) il 1 marzo 2020 è stata cancellata a causa della contaminazione da Covid a bordo. I passeggeri furono barcati. Un membro dell'equipaggio malato morì bordo. La nave rimase all'ancora al largo di Malaga fino all'inizio di giugno 2020, poi al largo di Malta, e infine è stata fu ormeggiata a Zara (Croazia). Il 1° ottobre 2020 è stata "ritirata dal servizio" e posta in disarmo nella baia di Eleusi (Grecia). E' stata rinominata ELLA ed è ha cambiato nazionalità passando sotto la bandiara delle Comore. Era prevista la sua partenza verso i cantieri di demolizione turchi ma erano al completo, è rimasta in disarmo ad Eleusi, fino al giugno 2022. Infine, nel giugno 2022, viene rimorchiata e spiaggiata ad Aliaga dal rimorchiatore Christos LXI (IMO 7351070).

Its last cruise departing from Malaga (Spain) on 1 March 2020 was canceled due to contamination by Covid on board. The passengers were taken aboard. An ill crew member died on board. The vessel remained anchored off the coast of Malaga until early June 2020, then off the coast of Malta, and finally was moored in Zadar (Croatia). On 1 October 2020 she was "retired from service" and laid up in Eleusis Bay (Greece). She was renamed ELLA and changed her nationality under the Comoros flag. She was scheduled to leave for the Turkish demolition yards but they were full, she remained laid up in Eleusis, until June 2022. Finally, in June 2022, she was towed and beached in Aliaga by the tug Christos LXI (IMO 7351070)
